Revelation 1:12-16

"I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was someone "like a son of man,” dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feetwere like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance." Revelation 1:12-16

I needed this passage this morning. Yesterday was one of those days that by the end, you feel your whole world was falling apart...something about it being that time of the month and the kids fighting so bad yesterday and needing so much of me. By the time the day ends, you feel fat and ugly and like life is hopeless and you are just living a life comparable to shoveling snow in the middle of a blizzard. Anyone else ever been there? Wow! How the enemy has a way of cycling us downward with his lies.

So reading this passage this morning was the perfect remedy for me...that simple confrontation of a description of Jesus in all His glory. Do you remember who you are servng? Who you are living life for? Who has called you into the service of motherhood and knows you spend your days wiping noses and tears? Ya! That's Him!
