He Has Plans for Us!

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Let's think a bit about what we've learned so far this week.

God's plans will succeed.

God's plans stay firm.

God's purposes will prevail.

My plans might fail.

I was thinking of how, even if God gives us a plan and allows us to fail with the plan He gave us....no matter the pain, no matter the confusion at what He is doing, He has purposed to prosper us. He has said that the plans He has or us are to give us a hope and a future.

Can He allow us to fail and still accomplish that?

Oh ya. He can.

Sometimes it seems that the majority of my life is based on failed plans. I'm married to a wonderful man because my first plan failed. I have an amazing little boy, because my plan to stop at three failed. The strength of my relationship with God is mostly because of the bond He's created with me in the midst of my pain over failed plans.
