Thank you for working so hard...

Bill

This week, as we gear up for Father's Day, we want to share some ways that we love our kids' dads...and the things we admire about them. We pray it will encourage you, inspire you, and cause you to pray.

I know that many of you have faced hard changes in the last couple years with layoffs, job cuts, etc. We've faced them too. One thing I admire about my husband is how hard he works. Currently, he is working three jobs. He leaves the house at 5:30 a.m. for his first job, comes home to change clothes and take a power nap and leaves for his second job. He usually comes home as dishes are being cleaned up and boys are heading to bed. Often he drives his "rig" (Idaho for vehicle bigger than a car), down to the barn and works on his side business (golf club repair). He finally comes in and heats up a plate and falls asleep on the couch as soon as he finishes eating.

I can't imagine having the burden assigned by the Lord to provide for a family. I often feel the burden, too. But I know I don't feel it like he does....because I'm not a man, and men have been ingrained that way since "the fall."

It's been a tough season. It's hard to explain to the kids sometimes why dad isn't available as often as we'd all like. It isn't because he's put a career before them. it is because he has put providing for their needs before the things he'd rather be doing.

Thanks, hon!
