Their Children Will Be Blessed

"I was young and now I am old,
yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken
or their children begging bread.

They are always generous and lend freely;
their children will be blessed." Psalm 36:25-26

I've been thinking a lot this week about the things I'm not able to do for my kids. I'm not able to spend much time at their school. I'm not able to sign them up for sports. I'm not able to..... Sometimes it is tempting to get discouraged about the future that we're preparing for them...like they are being cheated.

But God's Word says that are children will be blessed because of our righteousness. Isn't that great? It isn't what we have that counts. It counts that we are right with God - that we are generous with what we do have. Based on those merits, our children score the blessing of God!....and HE can do so much more than I can.
