It's Safe Now

19After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt 20and said, "Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to take the child's life are dead."  21So he got up, took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. 22But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee, 23and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets: "He will be called a Nazarene." (Matthew 2)

Again, the angel comes to bring good news - and direction. I notice that even though the angel was bringing good news, he didn't tell Joseph to not be afraid this time. I wonder if Joseph was no longer afraid of the angels - getting used to this whole thing.

Can you even imagine having regular visits from angels? It just puts me in awe trying to imagine.

With the kids: Ask your kids what they know about angels. If you want a real adventure, ask them if they've ever seen one. :) You might be surprised what they say.

Mom Humor: Just for fun, here are some cute ideas about angels from someone else's kids.
