Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you have had a wonderful weekend with your families!
I was thinking as I was cooking this week, about Hebrews 13:15, and how Thanksgiving can often be a sacrifice. I was thinking how we moms really have to keep that in mind as we're the ones in the kitchen from sun up to sundown for at least one day - maybe two...making sure everyone enjoys the 15 minutes of stuffing their faces with culinary delights! In a humorous sense, Thanksgiving comes from our sacrifice. LOL!
We've had a great time, though. Having four days off in a row is just glorious. I'm soaking up the special time with the kids. We have been stringing popcorn and making cookies. We hope to put our tree up tomorrow. It will be nice to begin December feeling on top of things instead of totally, perpetually behind - which is more often the case.
I wanted to share a website I came across today that is full of great ideas to do with your kids over the Christmas season. One of my favorites is the paper chain. We've done that almost every year, and the kids love it!
Anyway, Check out Hubbard's Cupboard for some great ideas! I'd love to know what your favorites are.
