"For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great are His mercy and loving-kindness toward those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us." Psalm 103:11-12
I don't know about you, but sometimes I think I spend too much time focusing on the verses that tell us to forgive and not enough time focusing on the ones that tell us how God forgives us.
I want to follow the model of the Lord. I want to forgive like He forgives. When we refuse to forgive someone, we literally chain them to us. They become our prisoner. They can't get out until we choose to release them.
God releases us. He removes our sins as far as He can from us. We don't even have to trip on them on our way out of the prison cell. There are no photos on the wall to remind us of our mistake. He removes them as far as the east is from the west.....which is never really ends!
I want to learn to set others free the way God has set me free! What about you?
