"Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the saints." Philemon 1:7
I love accountability and honesty in friendships. But don't you ever have those days where you wish someone would just encourage you....not challenge you or question you or rebuke you - but just see that there is something you are gifted in and do well and tell you that they see it?
I've been thinking about that a lot this week. We can't make it happen for ourselves. But we can certainly make it happen for others. We can be the one that sees it in someone else and makes their day, can't we?
There have been a handful of women that encourage me regularly. They sometimes surprise me because they aren't the women that I get to see all the time or that even live close to me. But they continually let me know that my writing speaks to them and continually encourage me to keep it up and not get discouraged. Their encouragement is always extremely timely - as if sent directly from the Lord....often at times that I'm ready to just throw in the towel.
They mean the world to me. So today I'm praying for who I can pass that on to. What about you?
