I Thank God for You!

"For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers." Ephesians 1:15-16

I spent time with lots of moms today. I spent time with some Christian moms at some ministry training at my church this morning. I spent some time with some moms that were dropping off and picking up their kids from my son's birthday party. I spent some time with some moms at church again tonight while we visited over cookies and playground incidents.

Can I just be honest and say that I enjoyed some of the moms more than others? Really, there was just one reason why. Some of us shared the simple bond that our kids were friends. The others? We share the bond that we are all friends with Jesus.

I'm glad to build relationships with moms that need the Lord, and look forward to the hopeful day that we will share that common bond. But there is just something super fun and joyful about being with those who share the same destiny, the same vision, the same purpose, the same values and goals.

I thank God for these moms - on so many levels.

Do you have those kind of moms in your life? The ones that you can share your struggles with spit-up and sleep deprivation - and go deeper to things like trusting God, no matter how hard it gets?

I hope you thank God for them whenever you remember them. For those quick prayers are sometimes the only prayers we get!
