Every Spiritual Blessing

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ." Ephesians 1:3

Yes, God has provided everything we need for life, but He has also blessed us in the heavenly realms. I don't know about you, but it is difficult to even wrap my mind around a concept like that. We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. As I've been praying this week, I've been motivated to seek God's blessing here on earth. I can't say I want to let that prayer go, but there is a special comfort in knowing that beyond this earth, eternal and spiritual blessings are already guaranteed.

With the kids: Bless in this verse means: to praise, give thanks, speak well of, extol, to be blessed, to receive blessing. How often do we bless our kids in these ways? God has done it for us. The more we receive His blessing, the more we can pass it on to others - especially our kids.
