"May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance." 2 Thessalonians 3:5
The word here for "heart" refers to the "seat of our emotions." It can refer to our heart or mind...our thoughts and emotions. As women, we are very prone to having our emotions run away and do their own thing. Often, though, it is our run away thoughts that lead our emotions.
This verse reminds me of how much I need the Lord as an emotional woman. I cannot even have my emotions in the right place without the Lord leading and guiding me there. I cannot love. I cannot persevere without the Lord leading me that way.
So I pray this for me...and for you too! May He direct us....and may we follow!
