2 But as for me, my feet had almost slipped;
I had nearly lost my foothold.
3 For I envied the arrogant
when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
17 till I entered the sanctuary of God;
then I understood their final destiny.
If you have time, sit down and read all of Psalm 73. I have highlighted a couple of verses here, but if they resonate with you, you will enjoy the whole chapter.
How easy it is to crave the things the world craves when we focus ourselves on their prosperity. It is natural for us to crave anything that we focus on. That is why it is so important to keep our eyes focused on Jesus.
Have you ever had one of those horrible weeks, then walked into a worship service and everything seemed to melt away? That is what comes to my mind reading verse 17. Though in reality, we can enter the presence of God anywhere, anytime. It is in His presence that our perspective is set straight.
How is your perspective today?
