I Am the Truth

"I am the way and the truth..." John 14:6

Are you on a quest for truth? Have you ever been? Truth isn't a list of facts. It is a person. He is truth. Jesus is truth....and if you know the truth, you will be free!

John 8
 ³¹To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. ³²Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."  ³³They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?"  ³⁴Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. ³⁵Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. ³⁶So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.Have you ever thought about having a relationship with THE TRUTH? We so often think of it as facts, rather than a person. Pretty amazing to think about, isn't it?

With the Kids: I was thinking today, what if, the next time I needed to hear the truth from my kids, I asked...."Is that what Jesus saw?"

Memorizing: 

 ¹"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. ²In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. ³And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. ⁴You know the way to the place where I am going."

  ⁵Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"  ⁶Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth..."
